You have two options to register for the LASA2027 Congress. Click each option to see the details and make an informed decision on which one suits you best.

Decide which option is best for you

1. All Access (membership + congress registration with discount)

All Access provides all the benefits of the LASA membership plus registration to the LASA2027 Congress. This option is the cost-saving alternative since acquiring the membership and Congress registration jointly turns out in a total lower fee.

The option All Access provides more affordable fees to the LASA membership and participation in the annual international Congress, particularly for residents of Latin America, the Caribbean, and other developing regions of the world; for students worldwide; and retired professors, contingent faculty, independent scholars, and practitioners.

Acquiring All Access does not guarantee that your proposal will be accepted. All the proposals, individual papers, and sessions are evaluated and ranked by the LASA2027 Track Chairs. Succeeding this classification, LASA accepts the best ones according to the space and time available in the place of the Congress.

So, why acquire both now, membership and registration, if there is the risk of not being accepted?

If your paper or session is not accepted into the LASA2027 academic program, but your All Access is valid throughout the Congress, you can still enjoy the benefit of the Congress registration by attending all sessions, the Book Exhibit, the Film Festival, and more. Additionally, if your proposal does get accepted, you no longer have to worry about registration, which you obtained at the lowest rate available.

2. Congress Registration

This option consists of acquiring the Congress registration separately from the LASA membership. It is a good option if your current LASA membership is active after September 9, 2026, which is a requirement to submit a proposal.

If your LASA membership is set to expire or will expire before September 10, 2026, and you prefer not to acquire the All Access (membership + congress registration with discount), you must join or renew your LASA membership now in order to submit a proposal, and later you can decide whether or not to register for the Congress using this option.

Congress registration is also preferred by those who, at the time of submitting a proposal, are unsure about participating in the Congress, or prefer to wait for their proposal to be accepted before registering for the Congress.

To submit a proposal for LASA2027, your All Access (membership + congress registration with discount) or membership must be valid after the proposal submission deadline, September 9, 2026.

You must be registered to attend LASA2027. Registration is included with All Access and can be purchased for those who are non-members or selected the membership only option.

In order to present, you must have a paid registration and a LASA membership that is valid through June 21, 2027.

All Access (membership + congress registration with discount) does not include Section membership fees nor LASA Continental Congresses registration.
