En estos días se está realizando el Congreso internacional de Latin American Studies Association LASA. Este es uno de los eventos académicos más prestigiosos en Ciencias sociales en América Latina. Este evento se realiza cada año y agrupa a académicos de todo el mundo, especialmente de las universidades norteamericanas y de América Latina. En este año el Congreso se titula “Polarización socioambiental y rivalidad entre grandes potencias”, enfatizando en los conflictos ambientales y, a su vez, la cuestión de las relaciones internacionales que, con la guerra reciente, se han vuelto tan presentes.
